Terms and Conditions

The following Terms and Conditions of Service apply to all products and services provided by Pixsell
Signs.

Estimates

Estimates are valid for 15 days from the date of issue. After this period, pricing and availability may be
subject to change based on market conditions, supplier rates, or other relevant factors.

Acceptance of the Pixsell Signs estimate indicates your agreement to the outlined scope. Any modifications
to quantities, product specifications, or approved artwork proofs may result in additional charges, which
will be communicated and agreed upon prior to proceeding.

Customer Agreement for Goods and Services

The Customer agrees to pay Pixsell Signs for all goods and services provided in accordance with the
pricing specified in the accepted estimate, invoice, or order form. In the event of any inconsistency, the
terms of the most recent invoice or signed order form shall prevail.

A 50% deposit is required upon placement of the order, with the remaining balance due upon completion
of the work, defined as the delivery or installation of the final product or written notice of completion.
For orders under $1,000 (excluding GST), full payment is required at the time of order placement.

If additional work is required that would cause the total cost to exceed the original estimate, Pixsell Signs
will seek the Customer’s written approval (including email) prior to commencing such work.

All prices are quoted exclusive of GST unless otherwise stated. GST will be applied in accordance with
Australian tax law.

Pixsell Signs reserves the right to withhold delivery or installation of any product or service until full
payment is received, and interest or recovery costs may be charged on overdue accounts.

Responsibility for Approvals

Pixsell Signs is not responsible for obtaining approvals, permits, or consents required by councils, strata
bodies, engineers, or other regulatory authorities. It is the sole responsibility of the client to ensure that
all necessary permissions are secured prior to the commencement of any signage work.

We will, however, cooperate with clients and provide documentation or support where reasonably
necessary to facilitate these approvals.

Clients must inform Pixsell Signs in writing of any applicable restrictions, including but not limited to
council regulations, body corporate requirements, colour or branding guidelines, size constraints, or other
design limitations before design and production commence.

Failure to disclose such restrictions may result in additional alteration, reproduction, or reinstallation
costs, which will be quoted and charged to the client accordingly.

Ownership and Intellectual Property Rights

Ownership and Intellectual Property

Ownership of all goods supplied by Pixsell Signs remains vested in Pixsell Signs until full payment of all
related costs has been received.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Pixsell Signs retains all rights, title, and interest in the intellectual
property of any artwork proofs, designs, layouts, or creative concepts developed for the project. These
works are protected under the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth) and may not be reproduced, displayed, distributed,
or modified without prior written consent.

Upon full payment, the Client is granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the final
approved artwork solely for its intended purpose (e.g., signage display). Unauthorised use beyond this
scope is prohibited.

Promotional Use

Pixsell Signs reserves the right to use completed designs, photographs of installed works, and related
project content for promotional purposes, including but not limited to our website, blog, social media,
sample books, or printed publications. If the Client prefers to opt out of promotional use, written
notification must be provided before project commencement.

Artwork Retention Policy

As a courtesy, Pixsell Signs retains digital artwork files for up to two (2) years from the date of last
production. However, this is a non-guaranteed service, and Pixsell Signs accepts no liability for file loss
or damage. Clients are encouraged to maintain their own backups of all design files.

Confidentiality and Data Protection

Pixsell Signs is committed to protecting Client privacy and maintaining confidentiality. Client data will
not be sold or disclosed to third parties except as required to fulfil orders, manage billing, or comply with
legal obligations. We manage all personal information in accordance with applicable Australian Privacy
Law.

Cancellation Policy

If the Client chooses to cancel an order, they will be liable for all costs reasonably incurred by Pixsell
Signs up to the time written notice of cancellation is received. These costs may include, but are not limited
to, design time, artwork creation, materials purchased, and any work already completed.

In addition, Pixsell Signs reserves the right to charge a reasonable cancellation fee of up to 15% of the
quoted project value to cover internal administrative costs and loss of opportunity. This fee is not intended
as a penalty but as a genuine pre-estimate of the costs incurred by Pixsell Signs.

If cancellation occurs after the Client has provided written approval of the final proof, the deposit will be
retained by Pixsell Signs and is considered non-refundable, as design and production may have already
commenced.

Pixsell Signs is committed to the quality of our work. Should any error occur as a result of our own
processes, we will rectify the issue promptly and reproduce the affected items at no additional cost to the
Client.

Warranty Policy

Pixsell Signs provides a one-year installation warranty, covering defects in workmanship related to the
installation process under normal use conditions.

This warranty applies only to the installation service and does not cover damage caused by misuse,
accidental damage, or unauthorised modifications.

Please note: No additional warranty is offered on materials or products such as vinyl, substrates, or
hardware. These items are subject to the terms and conditions of the original manufacturer’s warranty. We
are happy to assist in coordinating any warranty claim with the manufacturer where possible.

This warranty does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Where applicable,
our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL.

Production Timeframe and Scheduling

The standard production timeframe for most projects is approximately 10 working days from the date of
proof approval. Specific timelines may vary and will be confirmed in writing during the quoting process.

By accepting this estimate, the Client agrees to the production and installation schedule as outlined by
Pixsell Signs, provided all necessary approvals, artwork files, and information are supplied promptly.

While Pixsell Signs will make all reasonable efforts to meet agreed deadlines, certain events beyond our
control — including but not limited to weather conditions, supply chain delays, or late submission of
required files by the Client — may result in schedule changes.

If installation is delayed due to the Client’s actions or omissions, additional charges may apply for labour,
equipment hire, or rescheduling fees. These costs will be communicated in advance.

Pixsell Signs will schedule all installations under safe and favourable conditions to ensure the well-being
of our team and the quality of your project.

Adhesive, Mounting, and Vehicle Signage Disclaimer.

Installation and Mounting Conditions

Pixsell Signs takes great care in selecting appropriate adhesives and mounting systems suited to the
materials and application. However, installation outcomes may vary due to differences in building
structures, wall surfaces, or mounting substrates, which are beyond our control.

As such, Pixsell Signs does not accept responsibility for issues arising from unsuitable or unstable site
conditions, including surface flaking, paint incompatibility, or structural instability. Should additional
rectification work be required due to these factors, the associated costs will be quoted and billed to the
Client.

Vehicle Signage and Wraps

For vehicle signage and wraps, all vehicles must be thoroughly cleaned (free from dust, wax, polish, or
oil residue) on the day of drop-off or the day before. Failure to properly prepare the surface may result in
reduced adhesion or early vinyl failure.

Pixsell Signs does not accept liability for wrap or decal issues resulting from inadequate surface
preparation. Additionally, we are not responsible for any damage related to prior repairs, paint defects,
rust, or pre-existing surface conditions. If needed, Pixsell Signs may inspect the vehicle’s condition upon
arrival and advise of any concerns.

Nothing in this section limits any rights the Client may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Damage and Liability Waiver

Signage Removal Disclaimer

The Client acknowledges that the removal of existing signage may involve risks to the underlying
surfaces, including but not limited to paint, cladding, render, substrate materials, or any previously
installed graphics.

While Pixsell Signs will exercise reasonable care during the removal process, certain damages or
alterations to the premises or surfaces may occur due to the nature of adhesive materials, surface
degradation over time, or previously concealed defects.

Pixsell Signs does not accept liability for:

  • Damage to surface finishes, building materials, or underlying graphics revealed during or after
    removal;
  • Costs associated with surface restoration or repairs following signage removal;
  • Preservation or recovery of graphics, paintwork, or finishes concealed beneath the removed
    signage.

By accepting this quotation, the Client agrees to proceed with removal at their own risk and releases
Pixsell Signs from any claims, costs, or liabilities arising from or in connection with the removal process, except where such loss is caused by gross negligence or a breach of Australian Consumer Law
guarantees.

Artwork & Proof

Proof Approval and Client Responsibility

By providing written approval of the artwork proof (including via email), the Client accepts full
responsibility for the accuracy of all content, including but not limited to spelling, grammar, contact
information, images, and design layout. Any changes requested after proof approval will incur additional
costs.

Proof Revision Policy

One round of proof revisions is included at no charge. Additional revisions will be charged at $120 per
hour (or part thereof), with a minimum charge of 15 minutes. No design fees apply if the Client submits
complete, print-ready artwork in an accepted format.

Client Responsibility for Licensing and Additional Assets

The Client is solely responsible for obtaining all required permissions or licenses for any logos, images,
or other design elements not created by Pixsell Signs. Any costs associated with the purchase of stock
images, commercial typefaces, or other external design assets will be itemised on the final invoice.
Pixsell Signs accepts no liability for unauthorised use of third-party materials supplied by the Client.

Service Estimates and Artwork Requirements

All service estimates are based on the assumption that print-ready artwork will be supplied by the Client
unless otherwise agreed. Print-ready artwork must be in CMYK colour mode, with all fonts converted to
outlines and images embedded. If artwork modifications or original design creation is required, an
artwork fee of $120 per hour (or part thereof) will apply.

Colour Accuracy Disclaimer

While digital proofs aim to accurately represent the final product, colour variations may occur due to
differences in screen calibration, file format (RGB vs CMYK), substrate material, finishing methods,
and lighting conditions. Pixsell Signs is not liable for colour discrepancies between digital proofs and
final printed output.

Where exact colour accuracy is required, Clients are encouraged to provide reference samples or request
a physical proof prior to production.

File Submission Guidelines

Files under 5 MB can be emailed. Larger files should be shared using services such as WeTransfer or
Dropbox. Please contact us if you need assistance.

Artwork Submission Guidelines

Please provide design images in vector format to ensure the best results when scaling to the final size.
This allows Pixsell Signs to adjust images without compromising the integrity of the design.

The resolution must be high enough to prevent pixelation when printing photos or other bitmapped images.
To ensure accurate production of your artwork, please adhere to these guidelines carefully:

  • Include a 5mm bleed (10mm for double-sided graphics) when scaled to full size.
  • Include crop marks.
  • Provide a separate file or page for each design.
  • Include dimensions and a description in the artwork description.
  • Maintain the correct width-to-height ratio.
  • Convert all images and color palettes to CMYK and flatten transparencies prior to submission.
  • Embed images within the files.
  • Convert fonts to outlines, curves, or shapes.
  • Ensure resolution is no less than 72 dpi.
  • Scale images correctly.

Acceptable file types include:

  • EPS (Encapsulated PostScript, CS6 and below)
  • AI (Adobe Illustrator)
  • PSD (Adobe Photoshop, recommended flattened)
  • TIFF (recommended flattened)
  • JPG/JPEG (recommended high-resolution)
  • Vector-based images
